In this week’s podcast I interviewed Chad Grier. Also, I introduced our newest recruiting feature called the “Big 12 recruiting roundup” and then discussed our Heartland College Sports preseason awards and what selections caused some controversy. The most notable one: Mason Rudolph vs. Baker Mayfield.

We then dove into how the digital landscape is changing college football and sports on TV in general, and specifically, what the Big 12 conference can do to get ahead of the game over the next decade.

Our guest this week was Chad Grier (interview starts at the 14:15 mark), the head coach at Oceanside Collegiate Academy, and the father of West Virginia Mountaineers QB Will Grier. Chad had plenty of high praise for Dana Holgorsen, Morgantown and the University. He discussed how much involvement he had in the decision (fairly limited) and what he believes the Mountaineers are capable of doing this fall.
