Sooners’ grades reflect workmanlike victory over Tennessee

OU’s 34-10 rout of Tennessee was thorough but not dominant, and the grades reflect the workmanlike victory.


Tennessee’s team strength is its wide receiver corps. But the Sooner pass defenders never let the Vols run free. Quarterback Justin Worley was under constant attack and had to get rid of the ball quickly, but even so, OU’s secondary played very well. Tennessee seemed to want to pick on Julian Wilson, which was solid strategy considering fellow cornerback Zack Sanchez produced a nifty end zone interception, his fourth straight game with a pick. But Wilson was up to the task, with an interception and several pass breakups, though he was credited with just two.
