Coach Charlie Strong defended Texas’ late-game play-calling and up-tempo approach in the 20-17 loss to UCLA.
Texas did not have a first down on its final two possessions, one after a UCLA fumble and the other after the Bruins’ go-ahead touchdown.
“We just felt like we could move the ball and get it done and take some time,” Strong said.
