Mike Gundy is ready to how see his defense stacks up against Big 12 competition

Oklahoma State’s defense played well the past two games, but keep it in perspective.

Missouri State is an FCS school and Texas-San Antonio entered Saturday averaging just 306 yards of offense, No. 111 out of 125 FBS programs.

It’s clear coach Mike Gundy took those facts into consideration when asked if his defense has outplayed his preseason expectations.

“It’s really hard to tell, a lot of it’s based on matchup,” Gundy said at the UTSA postgame press conference. “Next game, you’re going to play a team that’s a wide-open attack. And so that will be a little bit different than what we’ve seen.”
