Has Iowa State turned the corner when it comes to performance and confidence?
I’m not sure that confidence ever was lacking, but certainly a corner was turned in the performance department. That started with the Kansas State game. Quarterback Sam Richardson is playing the best football of his career, and one of the reasons is that he’s not thinking about a gazillion things as he goes to the line of scrimmage. Credit that to playing for coaches who have been there, done that. The team finally has an assistant, Todd Sturdy, devoted only to quarterbacks. That’s working out well. Very well.
