We’re four weeks into the college football season, and that’s four weeks Oklahoma quarterback and Texas Tech transfer Baker Mayfield has been ineligible to play.
While there’s still little reason to believe he will see the field a season after winning Big 12 Freshman of the Year with the Red Raiders, a report says he might get his eligibility returned.
According to KWTV in Oklahoma City, Mayfield has won his appeal with the NCAA and will be restored a third year of eligibility. The report also says Mayfield will be eligible immediately for the Sooners.
However, Chip Brown of HornsDigest.com reported that Mayfield was denied eligibility by the NCAA.
