Tyreek Hill was running strong, Daxx Garman was hitting marks and the offensive line was blocking well.
For the first few minutes Saturday night, all was well in the Cowboy Nation.
Actually, it was better than that. It was downright amazing. An offense that had sputtered and stalled the past few weeks looked like a well-oiled machine right out of the gate against Big 12 leading Kansas State. The Cowboys marched right down the field. Scored a touchdown. Made you think they might stand a chance on the road against the Wildcats.
“We worked our butts off the first five minutes to get a 7-0 lead on the road, quiet the stadium,” Cowboy coach Mike Gundy said. “And in 10 seconds, we give them a return for a touchdown.
“In 10 seconds, we lose all of our momentum.”
