Following the firing of Art Briles this summer, QB Jarrett Stidham decided he would leave Baylor. The freshman filled in admirably for Seth Russell last season, playing in 10 games with three starts, going 75-of-109 for 1,265 yards, 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Clearly, he is now a hot commodity across college football.
But, is it possible he won’t be going all that far from Waco? Stidham was spotted at the Texas A&M game on Saturday where the Aggies played Tennessee.
The QB is taking a year off from football to weigh his options. Stidham has made at least one visit to Auburn, but he’s going to have plenty of options.
Of course, this is mostly speculation right now… but Texas A&M doesn’t have much depth behind current QB Trevor Knight, so maybe there is something here. It sure would be painful to see Stidham go to a former Big 12 rival.
