Philips had offers from 22 other school, including Texas A&M, Oregon, Notre Dame and Alabama. He becomes the 16th four-star commit and 22nd commit in Oklahoma’s 2017 recruiting class. Oklahoma is ranked as one of the best recruiting classes in the country. Before Phillips’ commitment, OU had the third-best recruiting class behind No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Ohio State.
