Sometimes, we get so caught up in looking at these players as just athletes that we forget they are people too. Kudos to Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes for this awesome feel-good story.
4-year-old Henry Anderson dressed up as his hero, Patrick Mahomes, this Halloween, and got a chance to meet his idol.
Henry is the son of Henry “Joby” Anderson, who was shot and killed in East Lubbock on December 3rd last year. Unfortunately, Isais Cabello, the suspect in that case, has not been found.
Henry’s grandmother, Amy Hernandez, says though Henry’s dad will always be his number one role model, meeting his second role model would mean the world to him.
Henry’s grandmother, Amy Hernandez, told KCBD in Lubbock, “With the passing of his daddy back in December, obviously it’s been hard on the family. On him and of course his sister. I’m just sure it would mean a lot to him to meet him in person because we see him in person so often.”
