TCU Horned Frogs quarterback commit Shawn Robinson was named the Gatorade Texas Player of the Year.

Robinson is a Desoto Texas native and 247 Sports has him rated as a 4-star recruit and the #5 dual-QB prospect in the country.

Robinson chose TCU over an impressive list of schools including Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Michigan.

The DeSoto QB will also be playing for a 6A Division II state championship on Saturday against Cibolo Steele . Robinson’s senior season has lived up to the hype, racking up 3,052 passing yards, 1,139 rushing yards and 43 total touchdowns.

He’s a sharp dude as well with a 3.59 GPA.
