The Oklahoma State spring game is officially set for April 15th at Boone Pickens Stadium.
The football team will begin spring practice March 6th and anticipation for the 2017 season in Stillwater is sky high. The Cowboys are coming off their second straight 10-win season and a win over Colorado in the Alamo Bowl. OSU returns an experienced offense in 2017, led by senior quarterback Mason Rudolph and senior James Washington. On National Signing Day, head coach Mike Gundy implied Rudolph and Washington, would likely see less action in the spring and the younger players would get more reps. Also note, running back Justice Hill will miss spring practice after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery.
Rudolph and Washington may begin to quickly start reminding Oklahoma State fans of the Weeden 2 Blackmon connection from just a few short years ago. Both players announced in a joint video before the Alamo Bowl their intentions to return for the 2017 season. Rudolph passed for 4,091 yards with 28 touchdowns and four interceptions in 2016, while Washington has posted back-to-back seasons with 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
