2. The Running Backs need help
Whenever your third-string quarterback leads your team in rushing, that’s never a good thing. Both Da’Leon Ward and Demarcus Felton had some opportunities, but neither guy really separated themselves from one another. Ward finished the day with 15 yards on 11 carries while Felton had 11 yards on 6 carries. That’s a combined average 1.6 yards per carry between the two of them (yikes). Felton did have 5 receptions and Ward had 2 but once again neither guy did much with what they were given. I will say this problem isn’t entirely their fault as you will see in my next point but still, this is something that will need to be fixed so this offense isn’t entirely on the arm of Nic Shimonek. Also for those wondering about Justin Stockton, he didn’t make the trip out to Frisco. According to Kliff Kingsbury “Justin had and issue and hopefully he will be back next week.”
