5. The Secondary will be better in 2017
There were some good and bad plays by the secondary on Saturday. CB D.J. Polite-Bray, CB Jaylon Lane, LS Jah’Shawn Johnson, RS Kisean Allen and NB Douglas Coleman III ran with the first group. CB Polite-Bray had some slip ups but overall he played well. Meanwhile safety Jah’Shawn Johnson looks like the real deal in the back end. He was all over the place finding the football. Unfortunately for NB Douglas Coleman, he struggled covering the inside receivers throughout the ball game. CB Jaylon Lane didn’t have a bad game by any means but it was CB Octavious Morgan who stole the show at his position. Morgan is going to be a stud in this group and in my opinion he is the best cover corner on the roster. Look for him to be the full-time starter when the season rolls around.
