3. Who’s on the offensive line?

Someone has to block for the aforementioned skill players. The Cyclones lose four solid contributors from last season’s offensive line in seniors Nick Felt, Patrick Scoggins, Brian Bobek and Brian Seda. So, who’s up?

At last Saturday’s scrimmage, Manning went with rising redshirt sophomore Bryce Meeker, rising redshirt junior Oge Udeogu, rising sophomore Julian Good-Jones, rising redshirt senior Robby Garcia and rising redshirt freshman Sean Foster. Foster is expected to be the left tackle, and so far, Manning seemed impressed, saying on Saturday, “we’ve been really happy with his progression and his growth, because he’s paid attention and really worked on the details in his game, and has a hunger to learn.”

Let’s see which of these 5 guys get the call for the first unit for the Iowa State spring game.

While the defensive line isn’t a unit that will give the offensive line the toughest match up in the world, it will be interesting to see how cohesive the young offensive line is on Saturday.
