1. Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes
Speaking of guys flying up NFL Draft boards, Patrick Mahomes went from a 2nd or 3rd rounder to a potential top ten pick in the last few weeks. Mahomes’ college stats are incredible, but it’s about much more than that with the Texas Tech QB. He has ideal NFL size, solid pocket mobility, and wants to be a passer, not a runner. His accuracy has improved each season in Lubbock and he has a cannon for an arm. If anything, he can try to fit certain passes into windows that just aren’t there, and his accuracy on intermediate passes need some fine tuning. Adjusting to an NFL scheme will also be a work in progress for Mahomes, but some team is going to get itself a heckuva player.
