Kansas State spring game preview: 5 things to watch

2. Who’s healthy?

Along with Ertz, there are a slew of other starters who aren’t going to play in this week’s Kansas State spring game.

According to this report from the Wichita Eagle, Snyder is considering changes to the spring game such as abbreviated quarters and a running clock. That’s because the Wildcats may not have enough healthy players for a three-hour game. Yikes.

Snyder believes the Kansas State spring game will be played without six starters on offense and three starters on defense.

Teams are typically much more cautious during spring ball, as they don’t want players, especially veterans, to get any more banged up during spring practice. But missing 9 starters will give plenty of new faces chances to step up. I’m excited to learn who some of the names that most of us don’t know end up being.
