4. Will the secondary dominate?
It’s as good a secondary as there is in the Big 12, and maybe most of the nation. D.J. Reed and Shelley Duke lead the way, while Kendall Adams has another year under his belt and Brogan Barry will get a chance to show his stuff.
The Wildcats do have to replace Dante Barnett at safety and Donnie Starks as a slot corner next season, so there will opportunities for guys to make their case. Sean Newlan and Johnathan Durham are other names that might see more time during Saturday’s spring game.
Watching this group will be fun, and considering they won’t even have one of their biggest incoming recruits in Elijah Walker, who won’t arrive until fall camp, there’s even more reason for optimism in Manhattan.
