It was just over 3 months ago that Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving gave the sports talk world something to go bonkers over when he claimed the earth was flat.
At the time, Irving said, “This is not even a conspiracy theory. The Earth is flat. The Earth is flat. … It’s right in front of our faces. I’m telling you, it’s right in front of our faces. They lie to us.”
Well, on a slow news day in the college football world (88 days to be exact), Iowa State linebacker Willie Harvey threw a bone our way.
I’m 85% convinced that the earth actually might be flat. @KyrieIrving#Imwithyou

So, there you have it. The latest “world is flat” conspirator is in Ames, Iowa!
I don’t think Harvey’s teammates were all that amused. Here is was Iowa State Cyclones wide receiver Allen Lazard had to say.

Is Allen Lazard legitimately annoyed by his teammate, or is he just tweaking the linebacker?
Regardless, Harvey appeared to double down!

So… are we taking him seriously here? Or is Iowa State Cyclones wide receiver Allen Lazard right that his teammate is just looking for a little attention during the dead offseason period? I wonder what head coach Matt Campbell makes of this newfound theory of Harvey’s? So far, no comment from Matt Campbell!
