Iowa State- QB Jacob Park
After splitting time with fellow quarterback (now linebacker) Joel Lanning in the first seven games, Jacob Park was handed the keys to the Cyclone offense. In the last five games when Park took over, he averaged 264.4 passing yards and completed 63.3% of his passes. He also tossed 8 touchdown passes on 3 picks. In that five game stretch he led the Cyclones to a 2-3 record in a year where they only had 3 wins on the entire season. This is all pretty impressive from a guy who didn’t play his first collegiate snap until this past season after basically sitting out of football for 2 years. Jacob Park has all the tools to become not only one of the better quarterbacks in the Big 12 but maybe even one of the best in Iowa State history. This is Jacob Park’s offense now and Cyclone fans can’t wait to see what he can do in 2017.
