Kansas State- RB Alex Barnes
With a league leading 7.8 yards per carry, Alex Barnes made a name for himself late in the season last year for the Wildcats. After using a rotation of running backs last season, it appears that Barnes started to separate himself from the pack. What is more impressive than his yards per carry is the fact the he did not have a single rush that went for negative yardage (Was the only Big 12 player without a negative rush on a minimum of 50 carries). In the last 3 games of the season Barnes had a total of 304 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns. With an experienced offensive line coming back, Alex Barnes is poised to have a big season on the ground in this clock controlled offense.
