Iowa State CB Brian Peavy Arrested on Criminal Mischief Charge

Iowa State cornerback Brian Peavy was arrested on Thanksgiving on a criminal mischief charge.
According to Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register, Peavy was arrested after running from the scene when police found him and another person vandalizing a bridge with spray paint.
Peavy was arrested and charged with 4th degree criminal mischief (which is based on the amount of damage, which is estimated between 200-500 dollars). Peavy posted bail and was released from Story County Jail on Thursday.
Peavy is a junior and has played in all 11 games for Iowa State this season. He has racked up 75 total tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
An Iowa State spokesperson went on to confirm that Peavy will not be punished by the team and is expected to play Saturday in the regular season finale.
The Cyclones face Kansas State at Bill Snyder Family Stadium Saturday for a 2:30 C.T. kick off. Iowa State can clinch a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game with a win and a TCU loss against Baylor.
