Let the rumors begin to fly! As we inch closer towards the NFL Draft, former Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield put in his two cents on what he thinks of the New York Giants as a potential landing spot.

“Throwing the ball to [Evan] Engram, Odell [Beckham Jr.] and [Sterling] Shepard wouldn’t be too bad. Those are some studs right there,” Mayfield said.
“Being there, it’s a big-time franchise in the spotlight, I think I thrive on that. That’d be an ideal situation.”
What about having to sit behind Eli Manning? New Giants head coach Pat Shurmur has made it clear he plans to roll with Eli as his quarterback in 2018.
“Oh absolutely. I’m ready to go into compete, I’m not going to wait lightly, but obviously sitting behind Eli would be a great situation,” Mayfield added. Mayfield certainly has the pocket mobility that has really hurt Manning the past couple of seasons behind a mediocre, at best, offensive line in New York.
According to reports, Mayfield did meet with the Jets at the Senior Bowl last week, but not with the Giants, only because they were unable to connect.
The Giants have the No. 2 pick in the draft this year.
