As numbers continue to come out after the college football season, Iowa State’s season continues to exceed expectations. Iowa State set a new attendance record and per AD Jamie Pollard’s tweet, ISU ranked in the top 30 in attendance across the country.

Iowa State finished 8-5 on the season with a win over Memphis in the Liberty Bowl. The regular season included an incredible month of October with two top 5 wins over Oklahoma and TCU, the latter on their home field.
Per Pollard’s post, there were a total of four Big 12 teams ranked in the top 30.
Texas came in 8th in the country averaging 93,000 fans per game, Oklahoma was 12th at 86,000 per game and then Iowa State was third in the conference, and 28th in the country, at 58,000 fans per game, while Oklahoma State was 30th at 57,000 fans per game.
Many kudos to Cyclone Nation as Iowa State fans continue to show they are some of the best, not just in the Big 12, but in the country. They deserve the awesome success this team had in 2017 under Campbell, and now with Kyle Kempt back in the fold at QB, there’s reason to believe this team can compete near the top of the Big 12 again next fall.
These are very exciting times in Ames that the fan base whole heartedly deserve.
