Report: Jim Schlossnagle Removes Name From Mississippi State Opening

It was certainly a scare for TCU baseball fans, but it looks like Jim Schlossnagle has no intentions of leaving Fort Worth. Kendall Rogers of D1baseball.com broke the news Sunday night.
BREAKING: Sources have informed me that @TCU_Baseball head coach Jim Schlossnagle has pulled his name out of the @HailStateBB job and will remain at #TCU. That’s huge news for the #Frogs on the eve of the draft.

Rogers appeared to be not in the least bit shocked by his breaking news.
While this is surprising news to many people, I told everyone all week that absolutely nothing was done with Jim Schlossnagle.
With that said, @HailStateBB AD @JohnCohenAD will still make a very, very good hire. It just won’t be Jim.

Money was not going to make or break this deal, as Schlossnagle makes $1.5 million per year, putting him as one of the highest-paid coaches in the sport. The longtime coach has won 645 games at TCU and has reached five College World Series.
But Schlossnagle might have a slight rebuild on his hands in 2019, as stars Luken Baker and Jared Janczak could be planning to sign and take their talents to the next level.
