Baker Mayfield Jokingly Tweaks Former OU Receivers Over Madden 19 Rating
In the new promotional video for Madden 19, former Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield jokingly tweaked some of his former teammates.
Mayfield was asked about his 38 catch rating, to which he said, “I can catch better than all my receivers at Oklahoma.” The Cleveland Browns signal caller then added, “Now, [in Cleveland] I have some better ones.”
Mayfield did have a touchdown catch in the Rose Bowl and in fairness, tight end Mark Andrews was a third-round pick in the draft and Marquis “Hollywood” Brown is expected to be a top-round pick in next year’s draft.
Regardless, Mayfield was obviously joking around as anyone whose ever been asked about playing with the quarterback absolutely loves the guy. But even if Mayfield is going to spend time on the bench to start his rookie season with the Browns (Tyrod Taylor is expected to get the nod), Mayfield will still be an entertaining character to follow this fall.
