Iowa State Lands 4-Star RB Jirehl Brock, Pushing Top 25 in Rankings

The Iowa State Cyclones’ momentum has continued well through the offseason, as the program got fantastic news on Friday landing four-star running back Jirehl Brock (no relation to our own Cam Brock).

The Illinois native chose the Cyclones over offers from Minnesota and Northwestern. According to 247Sports, Brock is the 212th ranked player in the country, 11th at running back and 3rd in the state. Last year he ran for nearly 1,600 yards and 23 touchdowns at Quincy High.
This gives the Cyclones a dynamic duo in the backfield for the Class of 2019 with three-star Wichita, KS native Breece Hall also committed. Hall is considered a top-50 running back in the nation and a top-5 player in the state of Kansas.
Hall looks to have clearly approved of the signing shortly after it happened.

With these two in the saddle, Iowa State finds itself ready to crack the Top 25 in the Class of 2019 recruiting rankings, currently sitting at No. 26. The Cyclones are one spot behind TCU, but the only other Big 12 schools they trail are Texas (No. 16) and Oklahoma (No. 4).
