Delton saw his playing time diminish this season, although he did split time early this season with Skylar Thompson. In 2017, Delton finished with 637 passing yards, completing 57.6% of his passes, with three touchdown passes to two interceptions. On the ground, he ran for 500 yards and eight scores. He led the team back to win the Cactus Bowl against UCLA.
Meantime, this season, he played in the same amount of games, seven, but completed only 55% of his passes, with two touchdowns to two interceptions, while rushing for 234 yards and two touchdowns.
Delton is a redshirt junior, and as a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to play for his new team immediately next season.
