Kyler Murray’s Odds of Being Top NFL Draft Pick Keep Rising

NCAA Football: West Virginia at Oklahoma

As we inch closer towards the NFL Draft, there is plenty of speculation about who might get picked where and former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray remains at the top of the list for intrigue. This comes on the heels of his decision to officially go with football over baseball. The latest numbers put the over/under draft position for Murray at 9.5. The odds are +150 for Murray to be picked over 9.5 and -200 for under 9.5

As for who will draft Murray, those odds look like this:

Who Will Draft Kyler Murray in the 2019 NFL Draft?

Miami Dolphins                         3/2

Arizona Cardinals                      5/1

Jacksonville Jaguars                 5/1

New York Giants                       5/1

Oakland Raiders                        6/1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers             12/1

Washington Redskins                12/1

Cincinnati Bengals                     14/1

Denver Broncos                        14/1

Pittsburgh Steelers                    14/1

Murray has the third-best odds to be the top pick, since of course, someone could trade up for him, but I find that highly unlikely to happen. Murray had great numbers for OU, winning the Heisman Trophy with the Sooners last year, but he is listed at just 5’10’’, and many believe he is actually 5’9’’, which would make him the shortest starting quarterback in the NFL by two inches, below Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
