Oklahoma and Alabama Schedule Home-and-Home for 2032, 2033

NCAA Football: College Football Playoff Semifinal-Orange Bowl-Alabama vs Oklahoma

The Sooners continue to ramp up their non-conference schedule in football, even if it’s nearly 15 years down the road. Two weeks after announcing a home-and-home with the Clemson Tigers for 2035 and 2036, OU is adding a home-and-home with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2032 and 2033.

Now the good news for OU is that it seems unlikely, although never say never, that Nick Saban will no longer be the head coach by then, as he will be 81 years old in 2032. But hey, we’ve seen crazier things happen in college sports. But kudos to the Sooners, who continue to schedule ridiculously impressive non-conference games, including UCLA this year, Tennessee next season, then it’s two with Nebraska in 2021 and 2022, followed by Tennessee and then a home-and-home with Michigan. What a stretch. But it’s great for college football and for all fan bases. This should also be encouraging teams across the country, and in the Big 12, to get some legitimate games on their non-conference schedules.
