Oklahoma Opens Up As 26.5-Point Favorite Over Houston

NCAA Football: West Virginia at Oklahoma

Spreads are here! Which means we are inching closer towards the start of the college football season. One of the most interesting games of the opening weekend is Oklahoma taking on Houston. There are plenty of storylines in this game.

Of course, Oklahoma lost to Houston 33-23 in 2016, a win that helped Tom Herman continue his rise up the national ranks and end up as the head coach of the Texas Longhorns. Then, there’s of course the fact that Houston was considered to be on a short list for potential Big 12 expansion, which of course never transpired.

Another great angle is the Dana Holgorsen storyline, as the former West Virginia head coach is now in charge of the Cougars, so he will be a very familiar face for any Big 12 fan watching the game.

Well with all that being said, the lines are being released for Week 1 and the Sooners are a massive favorite against the Cougars, per BetOnline.ag.

Sunday, Sep 01, 2019 – NCAA Football Game

Houston @ Oklahoma

Houston                        +26

Oklahoma                     -26

Is that line too big? Too small? Just right? It’s bigger than I expected, to be honest.
