However, it’s a good thing to keep in mind that these celebrities have personal trainers. Their work involves them in getting that hard, chiseled body for a role they are going to portray. You may have a hard time following their routine. For College Students, staying fit and being healthy is a difficult thing to do, especially if you’re juggling studies and some part-time work.
A lot of students often end up having severe diseases that shouldn’t usually be in their age bracket. Diseases like Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Renal Problems, etc. are just some examples of these conditions. These illnesses often come from improper health habits, unhealthy food choices, and a sedentary lifestyle.

Due to the nature of these activities, a person can quickly get an injury from not having the right gear. A buddy system can improve the way you work out. For one, getting a buddy to work out with you can reduce stress, provide healthy competition, and motivation. You’ll both feed off of your competitiveness, which often results in the both of you getting more fit and healthy.
Putting in the right hours for everything is essential. And that includes getting the correct amount of sleeping hours. Don’t take it as slacking off. Sleeping helps the body recuperate from a tough day’s work. It de-stresses your brain from studying and classes.
Don’t overwork yourself, whether it’s going to the gym or studying. Instead of losing weight and gaining knowledge, the reverse happens. Without proper sleep, you can actually earn more pounds, and you’ll have a hard time concentrating when it comes to your classes.
Ingenuity pays off
When you’re out of time because of deadlines and stuff, stop and pause for a while. Look at some activities where you can sneak in a good workout. Every little thing matters, and if you’re diligent enough, the payouts are incredible.
Think of the time you were watching t.v. to relax. Why not workout while watching your favorite show? How about the time you were going to your class? Instead of the elevator, why not use the stairs for a good cardio workout? Instead of commuting, why not try walking or even better, how about biking to class?

Eating is a vital part of life, and no one can deny that munching on something that tastes amazing is an experience to behold. However, too much of a good thing is bad. Most of the time, when people think of cholesterol, they immediately think of greasy burgers, bacon, and other unhealthy treats. Most of them consider cholesterol as bad for the body. However, there are classifications of cholesterol that the body recognizes as healthy.
HDL or High-Density Lipoproteins are the good cholesterol which helps lower the risk of a heart attack. LDL or Low-Density Lipoproteins are bad cholesterol, which increases the risk of heart attacks and obesity. Typically found in deep-sea fish such as tuna, Omega-3 is a healthy oil which pairs up with HDL and makes the body more healthy.
Veggies can make you Healthy
Eating vegetables does make a person healthy. Admit it, most of us don’t like veggies because of their taste and smell. In reality, behind the awful taste and smell of most vegetables, these plants are packed with vitamins, fiber, antioxidants, and nutrients.
Eating vegetables does make you healthy, but be sure to check your sources. Pesticide filled crops often defeat the benefits of healthy veggies. When preparing such food, it’s a good idea to wash them before cooking thoroughly. Another foolproof way to avoid such chemicals is by going organic.
Supplements can never replace Food
Although taking supplements is an excellent way to acquire vitamins and nutrients, these small pills simply cannot replace the nutritional value of food. It’s a worrying trend that a lot of nutrition enthusiasts insist on Nutritionism. The basics of nutritionism argue that the same nutrients in food are also in supplements.
No amount of supplements can ever replace real, organic food. The taste, the smell, the nutritional values, everything that comes from good-natured food is too good to give up. And no amount of supplements can heal a lifestyle that depends on a bad diet.
Processed food is never good
Canned goods, easy to cook ramen, oven dinners, and junk food easily fit into the diets of most college students nowadays. Although a lot of processed food often gives us convenience, over-consumption of these foods is harmful. In fact, during the “processing” of these foods, a lot of essential and healthy components are lost.
Healthy components such as fiber get removed and get replaced with unhealthy trans fat, sugar, and anything refined. Preservatives and other additives such as coloring also are dangerous for the health. When trying to eat healthily, try eating real, organic food.
As a student, a lot of people often have a hard time being healthy and fit. However, the trend today is that a surprisingly increasing amount of students are starting to take note of their health. Indeed, everything about a student is a tough balancing act.
