‘Busch Light Guy’ will be in Ames for Cy-Hawk Game

As if the weekend couldn’t get any bigger in Ames, Iowa this weekend where Iowa State will host College GameDay, it did. The Busch Light Guy is going to be in town for the game this weekend between Iowa State and Iowa.
Chris Williams of Cyclone Fanatic, who we had on our podcast this week, was the first to announce the news.
BREAKING: According to sources with direct knowledge of the situation, The Busch Guy will be in Ames tomorrow for the #CyHawk game! @BuschBeer really is officially, the unofficial beer of Iowa. pic.twitter.com/hGLuJe0xTf

The Busch Beer Twitter account went on to confirm this news.
Confirmed. Let’s do this, Iowa. https://t.co/vzCgoHWcuX

The Busch Light Guy was last seen with Iowa State fans at the Alamo Bowl last year in San Antonio when the team lost a close game to Washington State.
Who is the Busch Light Guy? That would be Gerry Downey, who has represented the beer brand and was in a Super Bowl ad in 2017.
Incase you’re not aware, Busch Light and Iowa have gone hand in hand for years.
This is probably the most-hype Cy-Hawk game in years with Iowa State taking on Iowa at 3:00 CST on Saturday afternoon.
