Kansas State QB Skylar Thompson Gets Last Laugh Tweeting at Chris Jones, SEC
After Kansas State upset Mississippi State as an 8-point underdog with a 31-24 win, Skylar Thompson made sure to take a dig at Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones and the SEC.
Jones is a 2016 Mississippi State graduate who had the following to say, “You know this is the best conference in football, right? Say it one time for me. SEC. SEC… so you know, K-State definitely coming into the SEC, the cowbells… it’s about to get real. K-State, I’m going to pray for you. It’s going to be loud… one thing Mississippi State is good at, is they have pass rushers who can affect the quarterback. And K-State coming in. I’m going to pray for you all.

Well after a Kansas State victory on Saturday where they scored over 30 points against the mighty SEC defense, quarterback Skylar Thompson got right to work, retweeting the Jones clip with the following.
