AP Poll Week 12: Oklahoma, Baylor Fall, Texas, Oklahoma State Back In Top 25

NCAA Football: Texas Christian at Baylor

The Big 12 is such an up-and-down conference, even AP Poll voters are getting confused by what to do with the rankings in this conference.

Somewhat surprisingly, Oklahoma and Baylor, who both won this weekend, found themselves falling in the AP Poll this week. Why? Because Minnesota beat Penn State and voters rightfully so moved the Gophers up into the Top 10, but did not drop Penn State far enough, meaning OU and Baylor had to move down one. So the Sooners are ranked 10th and Baylor is 12th.

Then it was Kansas State falling from the rankings after losing to Texas, but the Longhorns are now in the Top 25 at No. 2. Also, Oklahoma State, who was idle this past weekend but has won two in a row against Iowa State and TCU is now ranked 25th.

Week 12 Top 25 AP Poll

1. LSU (54) 9-0
2. Ohio State (5) 9-0

7. Minnesota 9-0
8. Utah 8-1
9. Penn State 8-1
10. Oklahoma 8-1
