AP Poll Week 14: Oklahoma, Baylor and Oklahoma State Move Up

The Big 12 had itself another exciting week with four games decided by 10 points or less. But the outcomes were all somewhat expected, so it didn’t have a huge affect on the Big 12 teams ranked inside the Top 25.
The Oklahoma Sooners moved up from No. 8 to No 7 after beating TCU, while combined with Oregon’s loss to Arizona State. Baylor took care of business against Texas and moved up two places to No. 11. And then after Oklahoma State took care of business against West Virginia in Morgantown, the Pokes slid up one spot to No. 21. Meantime, Iowa State just missed out on the Top 25 by five votes and is the first team outside the Top 25.

As noted, Iowa State just missed the Top 25. At this point, these are the only four teams who are likely to finish the season ranked in the Top 25. Oklahoma and Baylor have already punched their respective tickets to the Big 12 Championship Game, so the games this weekend will have implications for the College Football Playoff, but no the conference standings.
The Sooners are going to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State in Bedlam. Meantime, Baylor travels to Lawrence to try and avoid a trap game against the Jayhawks, who just gave Iowa State a run for their money.
