Read: Matt Rhule Text to His Players After NFL News Breaks

It’s been a wild day in Waco with Matt Rhule leaving the Baylor Bears football program to join the Carolina Panthers on a seven-year deal worth up to $70 million.
I honestly believe Rhule loves Waco and his Baylor Family, but when the dream job comes along, along with that kind of cash, it’s incredibly hard to turn it down.
So off goes Rhule to the NFL.
Unfortunately in 2020, nothing can stay quiet for long and Rhule apparently did not get a chance to address his players before this happened. While his players don’t seem surprised based on their social media reaction, this is still hard for all involved.
Per this tweet from KWTX reporter Darby Brown, Rhule texted the following to all his players on Tuesday.

Rhule spent three seasons with the Bears taking them from a 1-11 record in his first year following the sexual assault scandal that nearly ruined the program to an 11-3 record this year, a trip to the Big 12 Championship Game and the Sugar Bowl.
