Kansas State Football Player Arrested Early Sunday Morning

NCAA Football: Kansas State at Texas Tech

Kansas State tight end Sammy Wheeler was arrested early Sunday morning for unlawful use of a driver’s license, a first offense for the purchase or possession by liquor by a minor and providing false information. 247 Sports first reported the news early Sunday morning and reported that Wheeler was released on a $500 bond.

Wheeler hails from Lexana, Kansas and joined the Wildcats in 2018. He wound up redshirting in 2018 and last season caught four passes for seventy-eight yards in his redshirt freshman year. But his 2019 season was cut short due to a torn ACL against Kansas back in November.

While Wheeler did not pad up the stat sheet, he has been spoken about highly from his teammates and his coaches about his future in the program.
