Spencer Rattler Has the Second-Best Heisman Odds in College Football

The Heisman Trophy race is certainly going to have a different look to it with just three Power 5 Conferences, the Big 12, ACC and SEC playing football this season. So with that, the Heisman odds in Vegas had to change, which they did this week.
However with the change, the odds from BetOnline show that after Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence, Oklahoma Sooners redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler has the second-best odds in the country of winning the coveted award.
That is an incredible compliment to head coach Lincoln Riley who has been churning out Heisman finalists, and winners, in recent years in Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts. To have a redshirt freshman with a handful of snaps having the second-best odds in America is unheard of. Yes, the unique circumstances this season help, as Ohio State QB Justin Fields likely would’ve been in the No. 2 spot on the list. But regardless, this is quite a compliment for what Lincoln Riley has built and how much respect he has across the nation.
The full list also includes Big 12 players such as Texas QB Sam Ehlinger, Oklahoma State QB Chuba Hubbard, Kansas RB Pooka Williams, Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders, Iowa State QB Brock Purdy and Oklahoma State WR Tylan Wallace.
Earlier this week I released five bold Big 12 predictions for the upcoming season where I included Brock Purdy being a Heisman Trophy finalist this fall.
Here is a look at the full list of odds.
