NCAA Football: CFP National Championship-Clemson vs Alabama

When it comes to the NFL, there are a lot of talented players that have made quite an impression. From incredible achievements to awards and records, it’s easy to see why their players are so well-loved. In this article, we are going to take a look at some of the greatest NFL quarterbacks who have made history. Let’s get started.

Tom Brady

The quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 43-year-old Tom Brady, has taken home an abundance of awards, including 6 Super Bowl Championships. He is one of only two to win a super bowl in their first season, and the only quarterback to reach 200 regular-season wins. By leading his team to more titles than any other individuals in NFL history, he certainly deserves to be on this list.

Joe Montana

Indeed, an individual with a rocky start, Joe Montana quickly became one of the greatest quarterbacks in history and was named the Super Bowls most valuable player three times in a row. He played predominantly for the San Francisco 49’s before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in April of 1993.

According to NFL DFS experts at Awesemo, Kansas City tied the city with a 10.5-win total last season, the highest they have seen, setting them up double-digit wins. Winning 12 games in the last two seasons, it will be interesting to see if they make it three in a row.

Brett Favre

Spending most of his career with the Green Bay Packers, before moving onto the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings, Brett Favre was the first quarterback to throw for 7000 yards and complete 6000 passes. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016 due to his many awards and achievements and continues to share his passion for the sport today.

Otto Graham

Quarterback to the Cleveland Browns from 1946-1955, Otto Graham is also a part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, being elected in 1965. With three NFL championships, five pro bowls, and an extensive list of rewards, he is certainly a player that has made history. Sadly, he passed in 2003, but he will always be remembered.

John Elway

John Elway was a part of the Denver Broncos during 1983-1998, recording the most victories by a starting quarterback during that time. He led the Broncos out of a decline in 1997 after defeating the Green Bay Packers and continued to show off his skills time and time again. He retired in 1999 but still participated in the sport, first co-owning the Colorado Crush team, and then later becoming a chairman for the AFL executive committee.

By reading through the above, it certainly is incredible to see the strength and perseverance that each of these quarterbacks has. It’s also important to note that there are many other individuals that could be on this list, as the NFL industry has seen some truly incredible players. Some honorable mentions include Dan Marino, Steve Young, Drew Brees, and Bart Starr.
