Breece Hall’s High School Coach Trolls Lincoln Riley

The Iowa State Cyclones did something they haven’t done since three days before JFK was elected: beat the Oklahoma Sooners in Ames.

With the win, the Cyclones are back into the Top 25 of the AP Poll, while OU dropped out of the Top 25 for the first time in 64 polls.

One of the stars of the game for Iowa State was running back Breece Hall, who piled up 139 yards on 28 carries with two touchdowns. This is the second-straight year Hall had himself an impressive game against the Sooners. In last season’s one-point loss, Hall, as a freshman, had 18 carries for 110 yards, plus four catches for 33 yards.

Following Saturday’s win, Hall’s high school coach Steve Martin from Wichita Northwest, dropped this tweet, which trolled Lincoln Riley a bit.

Ouch.

And considering OU is lighter in the backfield than they’ve been in recent seasons, I’m sure having Breece Hall would be welcomed by Lincoln Riley and his staff.

Hall was a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports, had offers from Kansas State, Iowa, Baylor, TCU, Tennessee, Michigan, Nebraska and several others before ultimately picking the Iowa State Cyclones.

And no one is happier about that today than Matt Campbell.
