The Big 12 has released its kick off times and television schedule for the Week 6 Big 12 football action.
Saturday, October 17th
West Virginia vs. Kansas, 11:00 a.m. (FOX Sports 1)
Baylor vs. Oklahoma State, 6:30 p.m. (ABC)
*All times listed in CST
It’s the lightest week of the conference schedule for the Big 12 Conference. I have no problem with the WVU vs. KU game being at 11:00 a.m. on FS1. In fact, if the Big Ten and Pac-12 was back, that game might be … who knows where? That’s not a knock on WVU, but the Jayhawks are just heading for such a tough season. Les Miles is doing it the right way. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s going to be a rough go of it for KU.
Meantime, Oklahoma State will be in prime time against the the Baylor Bears next weekend. Both teams are off this weekend, so the Cowboys should remain ranked in the Top 10 when this game rolls around. This will be the first chance for the Pokes to show what they’re all about this fall. Frankly, I think most fans outside of the Big 12 will be surprised by what they see: a team led by its defense and running game.
The full conference slate gets back underway the following week when we could have a great match up brewing between Oklahoma State and Iowa State. That being said, let’s get there first! Enjoy!
