AP Poll: Oklahoma State, Iowa State Move Up, Longhorns Drop Out

NCAA Football: Texas Christian at Baylor

The latest AP Poll released on Sunday saw a ton more movement for several Big 12 teams.

The Iowa State Cyclones move up a few spots in the AP Poll to No. 20 after beating Texas Tech 31-15 on Saturday in Ames. Meantime, Kansas State is also in the Top 25 following a win over TCU that moved them to 3-0 in Big 12 play.

The highest-ranked team in the Big 12 remains the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who moved up to No. 7, despite not playing this weekend. The Pokes were last on the field last weekend when they dominated Kansas 47-7 and will take on Baylor in Waco next weekend.

The Texas Longhorns continue their drop from the Top 10 two weeks ago to being unranked this week after losing to the Oklahoma Sooners in four overtimes on Saturday in the Red River Rivalry.

Below is a full look at the rankings.

Other teams in the Big 12 to receive votes was Oklahoma (71), West Virginia (25), Texas (5) and TCU (2).

I expect to see the Sooners back in the Top 25 sooner rather than later, but make no mistake, Iowa State and Kansas State are here to stay and will be a tough out for any Big 12 team down the stretch.
