Week 8 Big 12 Kick Off Times, TV Schedule Released

The Big 12 has released its kick off times and television schedule for the Week 8 Big 12 football action.
Saturday, October 31st, 2020
Kansas vs. Iowa State, 11:00 a.m., FOX Sports 1
West Virginia vs. Kansas State, 11:00 a.m., ESPN or ESPN2
Baylor vs. TCU, 2:30 p.m., ESPN2
Oklahoma State vs. Texas, 3:00 p.m., FOX
Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma, 7:00 p.m., FOX
*All times in CST
This schedule for the Big 12 is perplexing. It’s very possible that Kansas State at West Virginia is a Top 25 match up if both teams win this week (WVU is at Texas Tech and K-State plays KU). The winner of this game could be one of the front runners, along with the winner of this weekend’s Iowa State-Oklahoma State game. So why would this game not be worthy of a 2:30 kick off. I get it, sometimes TV networks want a solid game at 11:00 a.m. to spread out the quality, but damn, I’d flip flop this game with Baylor vs. TCU.
Also, the prime time game is OU at Texas Tech, where the Sooners will easily be a two-touchdown favorite? Texas vs. Oklahoma State is the better game here for prime time. If Texas loses, they are officially out of the Big 12 race before the calendar flips to November, and Oklahoma State could be on the ropes too, depending on what happens this weekend vs. ISU. If they lose, it’ll be a must-win. If they win, the Pokes are likely going to be a Top 5 team.
Boy, these TV schedule makers at ESPN and FOX just continue to not watch any Big 12 football, and that’s a darn shame!
