Big 12 Odds: OU Remains Favorite, Iowa State, Oklahoma State Closing In

Oklahoma Sooners 2017 Big 12 champions

We’re approaching the midway point of the Big 12 football season, and despite there being three undefeated teams in the conference, none of of them are the favorites to win the Big 12.

The latest odds to win the Big 12 Conference still give the Oklahoma Sooners the best chance to win the conference.

Big 12 Football Odds (10/22/20)

Oklahoma 7/4

Iowa State 3/1

Oklahoma State 3/1

Texas 15/4

Kansas State 10/1

TCU 20/1

West Virginia 20/1

Baylor 33/1

This weekend, Oklahoma State hosts Iowa State, and the winner may jump OU, as the Sooners go on the road to take on TCU.

The Sooners should receive some benefit of the doubt, considering they’ve won the conference five years in a row. But the Sooners lost their Big 12 opener to Kansas State, then lost again to Iowa State the following week. They rebounded two weeks ago against the Texas Longhorns in the four overtime victory.

We still have the Sooners in the top half of our Big 12 Power Rankings this week, but they should not overlook Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs this weekend.

If you’re looking for a value bet: How about the West Virginia Mountaineers at 20/1? WVU has the top defense in the country right now following their win over Kansas last weekend. If the offense, specifically the passing game, can hold its own, this Mountaineers team can shock the Big 12. WVU hits the road this weekend to take on Texas Tech.

So let’s just say, these odds could look completely different after this weekend’s full slate of action.
