College GameDay Heading to Norman for Bedlam

For the first time this season, the College Gameday crew is heading to a Big 12 game. The team announced it would be going to Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday for the highly-anticipated match up between the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys.

College Gameday released a hype video on Saturday night with the announcement.

It’s been just over a year since College Gameday went to a Big 12 site, as they were at the Baylor vs. Oklahoma game last November. The Sooners were down 28-3 in the first half before coming back to win the game.

This game is essentially a Big 12 Championship elimination game as OU is 4-2 in Big 12 play and Oklahoma State is 4-1. Some might want to call it a College Football Playoff elimination game, but that would require a lot of other things to happen around the college football world for the Big 12 to get back into the College Football Playoff picture.

Both teams are going to be fresh off a bye week. Prior to that the Sooners are coming off a monster win against Kansas. Meanwhile Oklahoma State, who lost the week prior to Texas, bounced back with a 20-18 win over Kansas State.

This might be one of Mike Gundy’s best chances to get in the win column against OU, who he’s 2-13 against in his career. The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. CST on ABC.
