The Oklahoma Sooners at West Virginia Mountaineers game scheduled for Saturday night on ABC has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues.
According to the Big 12, “In accordance with Big 12 Conference football game interruption guidelines, the Oklahoma at West Virginia game scheduled for November 28 has been postponed. The game will be rescheduled on December 12. The time and television designation will be announced when available.”
The postponement is in response to Oklahoma being unable to meet the required COVID-19 thresholds, as established by the Big 12 Conference.
WVU AD Shane Lyons said in a statement, “I am disappointed for both teams, who have worked extremely hard in their preparation for this weekend’s game. We will now look forward to honoring our seniors and hosting the Sooners on Dec 12.”
The December 12th date has been used as a make up date for several Big 12 teams and then the Big 12 Championship Game will be played on December 19th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The kick off time and TV schedule for the game will be announced at a later date.
