Former Sooners Heisman winning quarterback Baker Mayfield has had a knack for the viral moment dating back to his college days or now his NFL days as the Cleveland Browns signal caller.
Whether it was last year when he was chugging beers at the Cleveland Indians game. Or last week when he was trolling Oklahoma State on social media during another Bedlam blowout. Baker likes the spotlight. And this year he is backing it up with the Browns playing their best football in decades.
Well on Sunday, when the Browns were taking on the Jaguars in Jacksonville, the Jags defensive line shifted right prior to the snap to try and throw off Mayfield and the Browns offense.
It didn’t work. And not only did it not work, but Mayfield chimed in with some classic Mayfield charm, as you can hear him say, “That was f—ing cute, guys.”
Here’s the video.
If there’s anything positive about not having packed stadiums this year, it’s that we get to hear moments like that from players that would typically be drown out by the crowd noise.
The Browns ended up winning the game 27-25 and are now 8-3 on the season, good for second place in the AFC North, behind the 10-0 Pittsburgh Steelers.
