Report: Urban Meyer Not Coming to Texas Longhorns

Just as the Tom Herman drama was heating up in Austin, it appears that things have cooled off for Urban Meyer coming to the Texas Longhorns.
Horns247 is reporting a university source told them that Urban Meyer has indicated that he is leaning towards not coaching again due to health reasons.
They also reported that their university source said that if Texas could not land Urban Meyer, there is a chance Tom Herman remains as the head coach going into next season.
According to the report, Texas contacted Urban Meyer after the Oklahoma game back in October. And despite rumblings about an annual salary of around ten million and a list of demands, no formal offer was ever made.
In the report, it states that while Texas officials are not happy with the current situation in Austin, the buyout and resources would not be worth the cost to bring in someone else outside of Urban Meyer.
The Longhorns have been the talk of college football this week following last week’s loss to Iowa State, which sparked the Urban Meyer rumors. In the last week, Colin Cowherd, Kirk Herbstreit and Joel Klatt have all given strong opinions on what should happen in Austin.
This will certainly be a hot topic over the next week. The Longhorns are coming off a dominant 69-31 win over the Kansas State Wildcats. Texas has just one game left on the schedule against Kansas this weekend.
