The Oklahoma Sooners will get another boost ahead of the Big 12 Championship Game on Saturday in Arlington, Texas against the Iowa State Cyclones.
According to reports, wide receiver Trejan Bridges is going to be able to play against Iowa State.
It’s not clear what kind of role Bridges will play, who has not seen the field yet this season, and has been very vocal in his frustrations in not playing. It almost one year ago to the day that Oklahoma announced three players would be suspended for the Peach Bowl, including wide receiver Trejan Bridges. Since then, RB Rhamondre Stevenson and DE Ronnie Perkins returned after the expected six-game suspension. But Bridges ended up missing ten games.
It turns out the suspensions were tied to a failed marijuana test.
Bridges came in last season as a five-star freshman in 2019 who caught seven passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns in nine games. He also had eight tackles on defense.
Oklahoma vs. Iowa State will kick off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday as the Sooners try to win six consecutive Big 12 Championships.
